Where Have I Been?

I just realized I have not post on my Xanga in two months. I guess an update is in order. I have started my new job and I love it. Things just seem more peaceful now that I don't have to work and go to school and do all that in the same place. I hope that last sentence makes sense.

I love Tech and Russvegas don't get me wrong. I still have a picture of Roush hanging in my office. I think everyone knows where my loyalties stand. In fact out of all the things I miss about Tech Roush Hall I miss the most.

Being a Resident Director is like being a King. Everyone knows you whether they like you or not. You get a lot of prasie and a lot of complaints whether you like it or not. However, it's the coolest thing in the world to go home and know that family lives just down the hall.

Well, life moves on you know. We all have to move on at some point. It won't be long maybe four or fives years from now there won't be a student in Roush that remembers my name. Sad, huh? It won't matter cause I'll always remember those who lived there with me.Well, I hate to end on that note, but I got to go. Well, hope you are all well. That's if anyone still reads my xanga.

Adios.

Livin in the Fort

Wow, this last month for me has been busy. I got married. The wedding was wonderful and being married is awesome. I went on a cruise. 7 days in the Carribean it was amazing. The day after we get back I get a call and get offered a job at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith. Sweet!

So to sum it up life is good. I'm just trying to get settled and I am very excited. I look forward to each day. May God bless you all!

People and Places!!

It's funny to say this, but I am down to my last two weeks in Russellville and Arkansas Tech! You know there is no doubt that people come into your lives and change them. Andrea is my best example of that. I can't imagine not knowing her or being with her. I think Russellville changed my life. So, many things happened there for me that have made me who I am. The setting in any story is significant. Don't believe me? Just try it the Jungle book would never have worked in NYC and can you imagine if Green Acres was shot in a suburb?

There is no doubt that I will miss the high life of Russvegas! Its been my home for about four years and a half years. I am ready to move on though. Have you ever been some where  and just felt like this is where I need to be? Have you ever gone home and felt out of place? I believe that God needs people in different places at different times. We are where we are for a reason. My time at Tech is done. I hope I have left my footprints deep in the sand, but more importantly I hope they are worth following.

Sometimes the best way to leave is to simply turn and walk away! On May 19, 2006 I will do just that. I will turn and walk away!

Waiting...

You know what I dislike more than anything? Waiting... Its like that little hour glass on your computer that just keeps turning over and over again. That's what I am doing right at this very moment. I am waiting. Waiting to graduate. Waiting to get married. Waiting to hear about a job. Waiting...Still Waiting...I believe that God is trying teach me to have patience.

Shhh...can you hear that? Its the fat lady warming up in the back!

Well, if you're wondering what the title of today's post is all about, it means the year is almost over. I graduate May 13 with my Masters Degree in College Student Personnel. It only took me 7 years. I was 19 years old when I took my first college course at Arkansas State University at Beebe. A lot has happened since then. I could write a novel on all that I have been through in college alone.

I guess the reason for this post is to say good-bye in some ways. I probably will not post again before I graduate. So here it goes...Good-bye...Wow, that was easy. Ha ha ha ha..

I think when I turn in my key and I walk out the doors of Roush Hall. I believe that I will probably cry. I started in Roush and I will move out of Roush one last time. I will forever be a Roush boy. I hope that what has been started here will never die.

Okay, I think I am done with my good-byes for now. I do want to say thank you to someone. Thank you Marty Sabolo. Thank you for giving me a job, a kingdom, and a family. Thank you for putting me in a place to meet Andrea. Thank you for being a really good boss! Okay, I'm done!

Goodnight All!
